Cabinet Painting

Serving homes across Westchester County, New York, within about 20 miles of Elmsford (10523).

Cabinet painting means cleaning, preparing and painting your existing cabinet boxes, doors and drawer fronts so they take on a new color and finish. Your layout, counters and cabinetry stay in place; only the look changes.
Paint vs. replace
Keep the cabinets. Change everything else.
If your cabinets are solid and the layout works, replacing them is often more than the room needs. Painting gives you a new look while you keep what already works.
No demolition
Your cabinet boxes, counters, backsplash and plumbing stay where they are.
Any color you want
Classic white, soft gray, deep blue or something bolder. You choose the color; we recommend the right product.
Less disruption
Painting is a smaller project than a remodel, so your kitchen or bathroom gets back to normal sooner.
Wood to painted finish
Dated oak and cherry can be transformed into a clean, modern painted look — like the projects on this page.

These bathroom built-ins were stained oak. Painting gave the room a lighter, cleaner look without replacing a single shelf.

What we paint
Cabinetry of every kind
Kitchen cabinets
Base and wall cabinets, islands and the cabinets around built-in ovens and appliances.
Bathroom vanities & shelving
Vanities, linen shelving and the built-ins that surround them.
Built-in bookcases & libraries
Arched bookcases, paneled libraries and window seats, including detailed millwork.
Bars & butler’s pantries
Bar cabinets and pantry cabinetry painted to match or to stand out.
We paint existing cabinetry. We do not replace cabinets, install new ones or do remodeling.

The finish
Where cabinet painting is won or lost
Cabinets are touched every day and seen up close, so the finish has to hold up to that kind of attention. Drips, brush marks and missed edges show immediately on a cabinet door.
That is why Flávio looks at the condition of your cabinets during the estimate, explains how they will be prepared, and recommends a product suited to cabinetry, not just walls.

What shapes a cabinet painting estimate
We don’t publish one-size-fits-all prices, because no two projects are the same. These are the things that move an estimate up or down.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Number of doors & drawers | Each door and drawer front is prepared and painted on its own, so the count matters most. |
| Current finish & wood | Stained oak, cherry or an existing painted finish each need different preparation. |
| Condition | Worn edges, grease buildup, dents or peeling paint add preparation time. |
| Color change | Going from a dark stain to a light color can take additional coats. |
| Interiors & shelving | Painting cabinet interiors, open shelving or bookcases adds surface area. |
| Details & millwork | Crown, arches, columns and raised panels take more careful work than flat doors. |

FAQ
Cabinet Painting questions
Don’t see your question? Ask it in your estimate request or call (914) 653-3418.
Can you paint stained wood cabinets like oak or cherry?
Yes. The built-ins on this page started as oak and cherry wood and were painted to a new color. Stained wood needs the right preparation, which we explain during your estimate.
Do you replace or install cabinets?
No. We paint your existing cabinetry. We do not replace cabinets, install new ones or do remodeling work.
How long does cabinet painting take?
It depends on how many doors and drawers you have, their condition and the color change. You will get a realistic timeline with your estimate.
Will my kitchen be protected?
Yes. Counters, floors, appliances and nearby surfaces are covered before we start, and we clean up when the work is done.
Can I choose any color?
Yes. You pick the color. We will recommend a cabinet-grade product from a major brand and can talk through sheen and how the color will look in your light.
Do you paint bathroom vanities and built-in bookcases too?
Yes. Vanities, linen shelving, built-in bookcases and library cabinetry are all part of our cabinet painting work.
